Dr. Cassie Moore obtained her PhD in Neuroscience and Biomolecular Pharmacology from Boston University in 2019. Dr. Moore’s research is focused on use of preclinical models to determine the effects of cannabinoids, including ∆9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD), with a focus on sex and route of administration (e.g. vaporized, oral, intraperitoneal injection). Current projects are evaluating the rewarding and reinforcing efficacy of THC vapor using conditioned place preference and e-vape self-administration techniques. Further, she is investigating the neurobehavioral effects of THC, CBD, and other minor cannabinoids using tests of anxiety-like behavior and operant tasks of motivation and attention. For more information on current projects, see the Preclinical Research tab.
