Bryan Jenkins, Ph.D.

Postdoctoral Fellow
Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine
Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences

Dr. Bryan Jenkins obtained his PhD in Biomedical Sciences with a Specialization in Neuroscience from the University of Guelph in Canada, where under the supervision of Dr. Jibran Khokhar his research determined that phytocannabinoids in vaporized cannabis flower produces differential outcomes on cognitive processing and neurophysiological correlates, depending also on whether schizophrenia-like neurobehavioral dysfunctions exist. Dr. Jenkins is experienced in using a variety of preclinical rodent modelling techniques to evaluate psychoactive substance use (i.e., cannabis, alcohol, and nicotine) in relation to human mental health. Currently, Dr. Jenkins is completing his postdoctoral fellowship under the supervision of Dr. Elise Weerts and Dr. Cassie Moore, investigating the potential therapeutic and adverse effects of major cannabinoids, minor cannabinoids, and other cannabis constituents.
